DIY Dryer Balls

Ever since i was younger...

I've had sensitive skin, especially when it comes to synthetic fragrances. Essential oils have always been a huge part of my life because they smell absolutely delicious & don't irritate my skin. Natural laundry detergents are something I found out about living on my own here in Edmonton, but I've never found a natural scented dryer sheet. But luckily, reading 'Essential Glow' by Stephanie Gerber, she has introduced me to this life changing DIY. The best part about using essential oils in a DIY is that you can customize it to your favourite scent.

What You'll Need:

  • 2-3 skein scrap wool yarn

  • old pantyhose or tights

  • 2 drops of your favourite essential oils

What To Do:

  1. Start off by wrapping some wool yarn around 2 fingers about 10 times (the exact amount needed will depend of the thickness of the wool).

  2. Remove from your fingers & start wrapping the other way until the yarn is the size of a tennis ball.

  3. Place the yarn ball in a pantyhose & knot.

  4. Add the Dryer Balls into a few loads of laundry with hot water.

  5. While wet, add the drops of essential oils & pop in the dryer!

(*If they lose their scent over time, repeat step 4 & 5)
